On 19th October, the 8th China (Foshan) International Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology and Products Exhibition was held in Foshan, Guangdong Province. Amoy Island Hydrogen Technology was invited to participate in the exhibition and officially released the self-developed low-iridium, high-current density 500 Nm³/h PEM electrolyzer. The company introduced the new product-related information to the community at the scene, and several highlights were eye-catching.

Highlight 1: Single stack breaking 500 Nm³/h capacity
Previously, the maximum hydrogen production capacity of a single stack of low-iridium, high-current-density series PEM electrolyzers was 200 standard cubic meters, and multiple electrolyzers are often required for large-scale hydrogen production. The launch of a single stack of 500 Nm³/h electrolyzers can better cope with the demand for high-volume hydrogen production and strongly promote the domestic to the era of large standard cubic meters of PEM electrolyzers to take a solid step forward.

Highlight 2: Leading performance
The new PEM electrolyzer has a DC power consumption of 4.4 kWh/Nm³ at rated power, a first-class energy-efficiency voltage level, a current density of 3 A/cm² (ahead of the industry's 1-2 A/cm² level), an iridium loading of 0.4 mg/cm² (much lower than the industry's 1 mg/cm² level), and a 30% reduction in overall cost compared to the same series of 200 subscale PEM electrolyzers of the same series of the company (technical parameters attached).

Highlight 3: completely independent research and development
The new product is developed by the company independently, and the relevant inventions and patents are 100% held by the company. The localisation rate of each component is more than 90%, and the technology and materials are all independently controlled, which avoids the risk of the key technology being ‘necked’ by foreign countries, and lays a solid foundation for the company's future product production and sustainable development.
