Guofu Hydrogen Energy Collaborates with AihyTech to Jointly Launch a New Chapter in PEM Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production

On February 3, Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Technology Equipment Co., Ltd. and AihyTech held a cooperation signing ceremony in Xiamen. Guofu Hydrogen Energy Chairman Wu Pinfang and AihyTech Chairman Tao Huabing signed the agreement together.

AihyTech was established in April 2022 in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. Founded by the Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Electrolysis for Hydrogen Production team from Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory, the company leverages the top-tier electrochemical R&D resources and outstanding platform advantages of Xiamen University and the Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory. It focuses primarily on the research, development, design, production, and sales of core membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs), catalyst materials, electrochemical testing instrumentation, and high-performance PEM electrolysis equipment for hydrogen production. The company has secured over 30 core technology patents.

The team's independently developed multi-channel PEM electrolyzer testing system and methodology were the first in China to obtain China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) certification. This advanced testing equipment has been widely applied in university experimental teaching and electrochemical testing services. The company's high-performance industrial-grade PEM electrolyzer was selected in July 2023 as a national first-of-a-kind (FOT) major technical equipment in China's energy sector.

Co-founded by Dr. Tao Huabin, an expert in electrochemical reaction engineering with over a decade of technical expertise, the company has assembled a robust R&D team that actively participates in the formulation of national and industry standards for PEM electrolysis water technology.

At the meeting, Chairman Wu Pinfang of Guofu Hydrogen Energy, Chairman Tao Huabin of AihyTech, and Chairman Wen Yangdong of Yangyuan Investment conducted detailed discussions on a strategic collaboration in PEM electrolysis for hydrogen production, covering collaborative frameworks, market opportunities, and implementation specifics. The agreement aims to synergize technological expertise and industrial resources, enabling shared market growth and mutual benefit. Guofu Hydrogen Energy will leverage its hydrogen equipment manufacturing capabilities and integrated systems/control assembly advantages to deliver optimized solutions, partnering with AihyTech to advance the commercialization and market adoption of PEM electrolysis technology.

This collaboration will not only accelerate the industrialization of PEM electrolysis but also unlock expanded development opportunities and market share for both entities. By combining Guofu Group's system integration strengths with AihyTech's core component innovations (MEA/catalyst technologies), the alliance is committed to pioneering the zero-carbon green hydrogen economy.
